Costume I’m actually proud of so it actually gets a photoset: Lady Une from Gundam Wing, worn at last Otakon.
If it weren’t that the shoes were a painful bitch that reduced me to tears and not being able to walk back to the hotel, I would wear this costume for EVERYTHING GODDAMN IT’S FABULOUS. It’s the first dream costume I’ve ever completed (like, I’ve been planning this baby since fourth grade, when Gundam Wing was airing on Toonami) and it’s definitely the most involved, what with all of that sequin trim. I wanted to go for a Takarazuka-influenced OZ uniform, and I think it worked out really well.
The pictures with the watermarks and the better colors are taken by my friend Ger Tysk (who was lovely enough to do a private shoot with me - if you’re ever at Otakon or Anime Boston, check her out! She’s a wonderful photographer and an award-winning cosplayer!), while the other two are taken by my bro Anthony, who’s looking into getting a nice camera for his own cosplay photography.
Please note, kiddies: My gun is an airsoft double eagle, which is NOT con legal.
